Weapon Oils

Crafting Weapon Oils

A PC must learn this skill over Downtime. It counts as a Learned Domain.

The crafting process requires:

  1. A Glass Vial and Alchemist Kit or similar.
  2. A Break to prepare the oil.
  3. A trained PC.

Using Weapon Oils

A PC may apply a weapon oil as part of their Attack. The oil's effect applies only for that attack.

Known Oils

Poison

2,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (10 + Crafter's Level) Physical Defense Check. On a failure, they are Poisoned 1.

Blinding Oil

5,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (10 + Crafter's Level) Physical Defense Check. On a failure, they are Blinded. They may repeat this check at the start of their Turn.

Deafening Oil

5,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (10 + Crafter's Level) Physical Defense Check. On a failure, they are Deafened. They may repeat this check at the start of their Turn.

Mageslayer Oil

5,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (20 + Crafter's Level) Concentration Check if concentrating.

Exploding Oil

10,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (10 + Crafter's Level) Physical Defense Check. On a failure, they are knocked back 1 Zone and fall Prone.

Monster Hunter's Oil

10,000 Coins of Mythril Choose one Creature Type. A hit on that creature type is an automatic Critical Hit.

Paralyzing Oil

20,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (10 + Crafter's Level) Physical Defense Check. On a failure, they are Paralyzed until the end of their next Turn.

Drowsy Oil

20,000 Coins of Mythril When the target is hit, they make a DC (10 + Crafter's Level) Physical Defense Check. On a failure, they fall Unconscious, but any significant disturbance or damage awakens them.
