Requirements

In order to wear Heavy Armor effectively, you must have a Strength of at least 3.

Lack of Requirements

If you do not meet the requirements you are Encumbered.

Penalties

Even if you meet the requirements, you still have Disadvantage on Ranged Attacks.

Don / Doff

Heavy Armor takes a Break to don / doff.
