Difficulty Class (DC)

The Difficulty Class (DC) represents the result needed for a given Check to be successful.

Common DCs

The stated difficulty is relative to someone who is skilled at the task at hand.

  • 10 for "easy" checks
  • 15 for "normal" checks
  • 20 for "hard" checks
  • 25 for "extreme" checks

Rare DCs

The GM may define other DCs as they see fit for a given situation.

Knowledge

Unless there is a good reason otherwise, the GM informs the players of the DC of a task they are trying to attempt prior to attempting it.
